DEAN FUJIOKA/藤岡靛

Born in Fukushima, Japan, Dean Fujioka launched his career as a model in Hong Kong before making his acting debut in the film August Story (2005). In 2009, he moved to Jakarta, Indonesia, where he produced his first album, Cycle.

His breakthrough in Japan came in 2015 with NHK’s drama Here Comes the Morning, which led to acclaimed roles in dramas and films such as The Count of Monte Cristo, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Hit Me Anyone One More Time.
In 2022, he produced and starred in Pure Japanese (Amazon Prime Video) and has since taken on diverse roles, including Netflix’s The Victims’ Game and Hulu’s Pandora’s Fruit series.

Alongside his acting career, his music gained international recognition with History Maker, the theme song for the anime Yuri on Ice. Dean released his first greatest hits album, Stars of the Lid, in 2023 and performed a sold-out show at Nippon Budokan. In 2024, he embarked on his first Billboard LIVE tour and continues to captivate audiences with his artistry.

Over the years, Dean has represented many renowned brands and campaigns, including serving as COACH MEN’s first Japanese Ambassador in 2021 and, most recently, being named the Ambassador for the 18th Asian Film Awards (AFA) in 2025.

Fluent in multiple languages and constantly expanding his artistic horizons, Dean Fujioka continues to build a borderless career, bridging cultures through film, television, and music.
